Stayci Rae Donihue was born in 1964 and grew up in western Washington,
just south of Seattle. When she
was young, she used to tell her friends about her pretend boyfriend named
Danny whom she would eventually marry. Little did she know at that
time that she was proving the power of speaking
things into existence.
Stayci had a difficult childhood
fighting grand mal epileptic seizures. Finally, in her early teenage
years, she outgrew them and they simply stopped. This long and grim
challenge was a large contributing factor leading to her compassionate
character, as well as her true love of children and animals.
Working in full-time
jobs from a very young age, Stayci developed an appreciation for the value
of work and the value of play. She does a very good job of maintaining
a balance between the two, and continually acts to keep the rest of her family in check, as well. If anyone in the family begins to
go too far out of balance in one direction or the other, she will correct their work/play
course.
Stayci has been a stay-at-home mom
and homemaker since May of 1999. She enjoys planning many family activities.
She stays very busy
helping the kids with their interests and hobbies. The term
"mom's taxi cab" really fits where Stayci is concerned. For a
stay-at-home mom, she racks up many miles on the Suburban. The
kids keep her hopping with all kinds of activities such as soccer, tae-kwon-do, music lessons,
cheer leading, school functions, etc.,
etc., and a never ending "etc." This year, she was
also Team Parent for Harry's soccer team.
In addition, for several years Stayci has been very involved in PTA.
She has continued to serve on the Board of two of our local PTAs and is also
a Board Member of the Castaic Education Foundation. For the past two
years, she has served as Executive Vice President for the North Lake Hills
PTA. She's also been very active in Chairing several committees
including Reflections. She has done a great job in helping to
bring the local PTAs to an exemplary level.
Stayci is the absolute greatest wife in
the world. This designation is according to the webmaster who is
writing her bio (her husband). She is her husband's best friend.
She is his inspiration. Whether she wears the hat of wife, mom, business partner,
or any number of other hats, she
always strives to do her best. At home, she's the calming force,
the thermostat, and the stable anchor which keeps the family happy and
at peace with life's daily challenges.
Stayci also enjoys many hobbies and
interests of her own. She's an amateur photographer. She
enjoys riding her horse, Casey. She's an exceptionally good cook. She likes to
read. She enjoys gardening. She likes to go walking.
And of course she really likes her wonderful husband (webmaster's
prerogative to throw that one in).
